Mr. Lee Yip Kun (Solomon Lee) is the founder of Sino Agro Food, Inc., and has served as Executive Director and President, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since August 2007. From March 2004 to date he has been Group Managing Director of Capital Award Inc. Since May, 1993, he has been the CEO of Irama Edaran Sdn. Bhd. (Malaysia), a modern fishery developer. Mr. Lee received a B.A. in Accounting and Economics from Monash University, Australia in July 1972.
As a member of the board, Mr. Lee contributes his holistic knowledge of the company and a deep understanding of all aspects of our business, products and markets, as well substantial experience developing corporate strategy, assessing emerging industry trends, and business operations. His experience, skills and know-how encompass over twenty years of project management and financial management in agriculture, aquaculture and food industries. In 2014, Mr. Lee relinquished his assignment as Chief Accounting Officer, with the appointment of a Chief Financial Officer.
Lee Yip Kun Solomon was born in 1943, and is a citizen of Australia. He holds 1,262,626 shares of the Company’s Common Stock, and 75 shares of Series A Preferred Stock.
Mr. Tan Paoy Teik (Peter Tan) has been Executive Director and our Chief Marketing Officer since August 2007. Peter Tan was the Group Managing Director of Milux Corporation Bhd. (Malaysia), and is a Director and Executive Chairman of Success Goldwing Sdn. Ghd. Mr. Tan now works full time with Sin Agro Food, Inc. He received an MBA from South Pacific University in 2005. As a member of the board, Mr. Tan contributes his knowledge of the company and a deep understanding of all aspects of our business, products and markets, as well as substantial experience developing corporate strategy, assessing emerging industry trends, and business operations.
Tan Paoy Teik was born in 1958, and is a citizen of Malaysia. He holds 20 shares of the Company’s Series A Preferred Stock.
Mr. Chen Bor Hann (Michael Chen) has been Executive Director and Secretary since August 2007. Since March, 2004, he has been Director and Business Development Manager of Capital Award Inc. From September 1995 to March 2004, he was Fishery Supervisor of Irama Edaran Sdn. Bhd. (Malaysia). As a member of the board, Mr. Chen contributes his knowledge of the company, broad and deep aquaculture expertise, and his comprehensive understanding of all aspects of our business, products and markets.
Chen Bor Hann was born in 1965, and is a citizen of Taiwan. He holds 5 shares of the Company’s Series A Preferred Stock.
Mr. Daniel Ritchey was appointed Acting CFO on March 1, 2016. A member of the Company's Board of Directors, he has resigned his position on the Audit Committee while he serves as Acting CFO. As an advisor to the Company since 2007, Mr. Ritchey's strengths and focus have helped the Company to grow. Mr. Ritchey is currently a partner in three companies: DC Capital LLC, 3-D Oil and Gas LLC, and 3-D Ranch LLC, a 2,200 head of cattle/1,500 head pig farm for which Mr. Ritchey serves as Finance Director. Mr. Ritchey held previous positions as investment analyst and advisor for venture capital firms. He holds an MBA in Finance from Ohio State University.
Daniel Ritchey was born in 1968, and is a citizen of the United States of America. He holds 151,516 shares of the Company's common stock.
Dr. Anthony C. Ostrowski joined the Company in August 2015 as Chief Scientific Officer. Dr. Ostrowski is an accomplished executive and scientist with broad international background and experience in the field of aquaculture and process certification. He was principle investigator on multi-million dollar research projects, directed a multi-institution research consortium, and led the internationally recognized aquaculture research and development organization, Oceanic Institute, as president & CEO from 2009-2012. Most recently, he was General Manager & CEO of Wanshida Ocean Bio-Tech, Ltd., a Chinese aquaculture research and development firm located in Yangjiang, PRC. He also served on several boards and technical committees within the aquaculture community providing both scientific and strategic direction that helped establish local and international standards for the field. Dr. Ostrowski will lead Company initiatives to improve product traceability and accomplish certification in aquaculture best practices. He will conduct research and develop programs key to the Company’s competitive position in aquaculture. Dr. Ostrowski holds a Ph.D. and M.S. from Michigan State University, USA., and a B.S. from Penn State University, USA.
Anthony Ostrowski was born in 1957, and is a citizen of the United States of America.
Mr. Peter Grossman has managed investor relations, public relations, corporate and marketing communications for Sino Agro Food, Inc. since April 2013. An accomplished investor and entrepreneur, Mr. Grossman co-founded Design Matters, Inc., a Silicon Valley multi-media design and software development firm, where his primary responsibilities included strategic planning, business architecture and corporate messaging for Fortune 500 clients. In the 1980s, Mr. Grossman made a market in select biotechnology companies on the Pacific Options Exchange. Previously, he held strategic communications positions for global information technology and strategy firm Cap Gemini S.A., Polaroid Corporation, and the Washington Post. Mr. Grossman received a B.A. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1973 and an M.A. in mass communications (summa cum laude) from American University, Washington, D.C., in 1975.
